一、组合——让教学轻松自如
1、英语音标与汉语拼音的组合
在教学人教版七年级英语的Start Units1-3，我就使用了“英语音标与汉语拼音”相结合的方法，如在教学字母Pp，我就写出这个字母的音标/Pi：/。
Ss： /Pi：/ 、/Pi：/…同学们都大声地乱读一翻。
T：Read after me， /i：/，像衣服的衣，似唱歌的两拍，汉语拼音a、o、e、i、u中的i衣。我们刚学过的哪些字母或单词有这个发音？
Ss：Ee、Dd、Cc、me、evening…
T：Good！那/P/与汉语P有何相似的地方？
S1：读泼水的泼呀！po、po…
T：在口形上与汉语中的P相似，双嘴唇先闭合，让气流通过嘴唇爆破送出，不过和汉语不一样的是声带不振动，不发声。
在教学整个26个字母，48个音标都使用的这种教学组合，让学生从汉语拼音过渡到英语音标的学习，重点是寻找到它们之间相似的地方，如口形等。这样在区分它们的同时，让学生们轻松自如地掌握了难度较大的音标学习，为全面拼读英语单词打下了很好的基础，使学生更易投入到自学英语的习惯中去。
2、语法与游戏组合
说到每本书后面的语法知识，谁都觉得枯燥无味，难以掌握运用。若能在情景中使用语法结构，那语法就在现实情景中得以应用了。
如在教学九年级的现在完成时的被动语态，have/has been done，我就尝试了先请几个同学在纸上随意写上几个表动作的词，然后请几个同学上台表演，其余同学闭上眼睛。
T：What has changed in the classroom？
同学们都“哇”一声，不由地回答。
S1：The lights has been turned off.
S2：The floor has been cleaned.
S3：The desk has been moved.
S4：The door has been opened.
S5：The windows has been closed.
诸如此类的重点难点语法，都可通过游戏来理解。
二、调整——让重点更突出
1、调整单元内部教学安排
每个单元有SectionA、B、Self-check。以八年级下Unit 6 How long have you been collecting shells？为例。SectionA中按顺序安排的内容如下：1a—
Picture，1b—listening，1c—Pairwork，2a和2b—listening，2c—Pairwork，3a—Passage，3b—Time line，4—Groupwork.若按此顺序上，作为农村里没接触过skating的同学们来说，无话可谈，更不用说理解这个单元最重要的句子结构。于是我对SectionA的内容进行了全面的整合，以下是当时上课的过程再现。
T： Now，there is a time is the date today？
S：It is May 6th，2009.（老师画了一条时间线，上面标注了日期May 6th，2009。这是SectionA中3b的内容。）
T：What’s your hobby？
S1：I like playing soccer.
T：When did you do it ？
S1： Eight years ago.
T： So how long have you been playing soccer ？
S1：I have been playing soccer …
2001 2009
（老师和同学们一起在时间线上标注出八年前的年数，便于学生理解时间表达法）
S1：I have been playing soccer since 2001.
S2： He has been playing soccer since eight years ago.
S3： He has been playing soccer for eight years.
（以上这段引出这个单元的对话是Groupwork 4里的对话，谈论学生的兴趣，由旧知识自然过渡到新知识，简单易懂。）
然后进行Pairwork，（这是书1c和2c的内容。）
T：Next interview your them what things they like to do and fill in the chart.

（ 这又回到了4 Groupwork。）
T：Please use these information to introduce your parter.
（这不但训练学生的的口语表达能力，而且也训练了学生的书面表达能力。同是也是3a Passage里的内容。）
按照上面的过程安排，已经把这个单元Section A的内容全部训练了，然后再按书中的顺序一个接一个练，这样学生就对刚才情景中出现的一切进行了再现。要想达到对一个单元内部的整合，教师本人必须对教材内容了如指掌，这样才能达到目的。
2、调整单元间的顺序
在整个一学期的时间中，有学生学习兴奋期，也有学生学习疲倦期，若教师能有效地把所学内容进行适当的调整，那将收到较好的效果。
如在七年级下册共12个单元中，重点内容现在进行时安排在Units5-6，过去时安排在Units9-10中，重点内容虽较集中，但较靠后，几乎要临到半期或期末，这不但是疲倦期，而且是没有时间和空间对所学内容进行巩固。这样我就会把类似这样的重点放在一学期学生较兴奋的时期，如把Units5-6调整到第5、6周，Units9-10会调到半期后不久，让他们有时间理解，消化和应用重点内容。而把没涉及到过多语法和口语运用较多的单元安排在疲倦期，如八年级下Unit 7 谈如何制作沙拉过程，这样动手多，口语多的单元易再进一步调动他们学英语的积极性。
若面临重点内容较分散，也可适当地把重点内容单元集中。如八年级上册Unit6比较级，Unit12最高级；八年级下册Unit6现在完成进行时，Unit9现在完成时。我都会把这样的单元进行整合，让他们之间既有联系，又有区别，便于学生掌握知识。
三、增添——丰富教学内容
I have a big family. There are six people in my family. They are my grandparents, my parents, my sister and I. Though my grandparents and my parents are in different generation, they respect each other's lifestyle, so I barely see them have conflicts. I feel so lucky to live in a harmonious environment. Today, the TV shows always present the negative relationship between different generations, but it is not happening in my family.
I learn to respect each other. My parents set the good example for me. So sometimes when my sister and I have argument, I won't shout at her. When we calm down, we can talk to each other peacefully. I love my family.
The summer holiday is coming. I’m going to have a good rest and learn to relax myself. I will read more useful books because reading more books is not only interesting but also helps me learn more knowledge. I will try to spend more time in chatting with my parents and help them to do some housework. I am going to take part in the social activities so that I can know more about the society. If possible, I’d like to make a trip to Xiamen. I’m sure I’ll have an interesting and meaningful summer holiday. I am looking forward to it.

我可是班里的活跃分子。每天都要和陈如歌“干一架’.有时为了一个小问题，我会和同学们争得面红耳赤。遇到什么问题，我都会和小组成员讨论，直到没有了疑惑。
这就是我的家庭。

As you know,there's no enough clean water for people. So many of them lose their lives because of water. In a lot of countries, people have to cut trees for living. So there's nothing to keep water from running away. Also we have polluted the land, the river and the air. So we have to face more and more floods and droughts . It's time that we must do something useful to protect our environment. We can plant trees and take good care of them. We can save the water and ask our parents to do so. We can't throw any litter onto the ground and we should collect them for recycling. If we take good care of our earth today,it will be more beautiful tomorrow.
