Smoking is bad for our health. It may cause cancers or other diseases. Every year hundreds of people catch diseases because of smoking. Some even die of it. Few people like staying together with smokers.
Since smoking has so much harm, smokers should get rid of the bad habit. You can try to change it little by little. When you want to smoke, eat some nuts or sugars. You can also do some interesting things to divert your attention.

An unforgetable experience Last week, I came across a stray dog when I was taking a walk in my neighborhood. It was a cold day, and there was nobody around. I stopped and he looked at me helplessly.
“What a poor dog!” I thought. Then I decided to bring him home. When we got back home, I gave him some food and drinks and played with him, but it seemed that he was a little sad. A few days later, the owner of the dog came to my house. I was very happy to see the little dog go home with his owner, and I feel proud that I was able to give others a helping hand.

There was a big fire in one office building in our neighborhood at about nine4 oclock last night.
Many firemen and fire engines came. In the beginning,
we saw flames with thick black smoke coming out from the sixth floor;
and we also heard the explosion of the gas tank mixed with the noisy sounds from shattering windows.
Soon the fire spread one by one to the floors above, and finally reach the top floor.
Some aluminum window frames and some brick walls meted and collapsed from the heat.
Many people like myself stood outside on the streets watching the fire in horror as we heard the sirens and gas explosions.
Luckily there was no one in that office building when the fire broke out.
The fire-men were unable to control the fire until the top floor was burned out;
it took about one and a half hours for the firemen to put out the big fire.
The next morning newspapers carried the story and pictures of the fire.
But some students spend too much time playing puter games and some stay in net bars all day and all a result, they do worse and worse in their lessons andthey don’t study well any more. I think we shouldn’t goonline when it is time for us to study. We can do it in summer or winterholidays.
I’m a seven grade student.
On winter holiday. I got up at 7 o’clock every day and had breakfast athalf past seven. From 7:00 to 7:30 I washed myself and after breakfast I helpedmy mother did housework.
I often went on line，but I never played computer games, because my Englishteacher told us computer games were bad for studying. So I never did it .I oftenwrote my life at QQ diary. In the afternoon. I usually did sports. From 16:00 to18:30, I read books and did my homework.
Sometimes, my good friends and I went to MiHe Park witch. Mihe park whichhave lots of trees and flowers and looks very beautiful So lots of people visitit every day. In the evening, I watched TV After dinner with my family. so Iwill work harder to learn well!
On holiday I felt very happy. Because I had learned a lot from thisholiday, so I will work harder to learn well!
Every year, my school holds sports meeting in about October, I am very exciting about it, I can watch the wonderful game and don’t have class.

Should Yuanmingyuan Be Rebuilt?
Yuanmingyuan, “Garden of all gardens”, was burnt and fell into ruins in 1860. Recently my classmates had a discussion about whether it should be rebuilt or not.
Supporters of rebuilding the garden say only by doing so can we see the original sight of the garden, which reflects the Chinese civilization. And it will be another place of interest for tourists. If partly rebuilt, it will provide a comparison and help us remember the history.
Those who disagree think it more reasonable to keep the garden like this. The ruins will remind us of the past. We should never forget the history. Other buildings like Palace Museum and Summer Palace can also be symbols of the Chinese culture, so it isn’t necessary to rebuild this garden. Some also worry that the environment will be destroyed when the construction goes on in this district.
Personally, it is advisable to rebuild Yuanmingyuan , which will add beauty to the city . What’s more , the new scenic spot will no doubt promote the economic development of the local.
Today，I’ll talk about going online. We know thatthere are too many net-bars around us. The Internet can make our lives interesting and of us like going online very much because we can learn how to usethe computer and get more information from the Internet. We can learn can read some good newspapers and magazines. It can make us cleverthrough playing computer games. I can sende-mails to our friends quickly. We can chatonline with our friends. It can help us get in touch with people from all over the world, but unfortunately the government doesn’t allow communication with many people.
