一、大赛宗旨

【摘要】新课程标准倡导自主探究、实践体验、合作交流的学习方式与接受性学习方式的有机结合，倡导“做”、“想”、“讲”有机统一的学习过程，倡导课程资源的灵活利用和教学方法多样化。DIY是符合课程标准理念的教学方法之一。它把“学”和“做”结合在一起，激发了学生学习英语的兴趣，发挥了学生的主体作用，提高了学生的语言综合能力和动手实践能力。本文笔者自至今在教学中尝试了DIY活动，在三年多时间的探索中，笔者也收获了许多经验和体会，在此与君分享和探讨。
【关键词】DIY课程资源动手参与主动学习
一、提出概念
国际教育界提出“听会忘记，看能记得，做才学会”的观点，可见动手实践的重要性。新课标提出“要重视培养学生乐于动手、勤于实践、勇于创新的意识、习惯和能力。教师要通过对教学内容的“操作化”组织，将“听”“做”、“想”、“讲”有机结合，帮助学生内化学习内容。”笔者认为，DIY可以很好的满足以上要求。DIY是英文DoItYourself的缩写，又译为自己动手做。英语DIY教学活动是指教师指导学生自行收集与课程资源相关的资料并参与到和课程资源相关活动的实践中，它把“学”和“做”有机地结合在一起，通过学生的动手实践，达到语言学习和应用的目的。同时，DIY也可以激发学生学习英语的兴趣，发挥学生学习的主体作用，培养学生的创新思维，增强学生的团队意识，通过情感教育的渗透，实现素质教育。
二、研究背景
小学阶段学生的年龄特点是，主观能动性较差，注意力不集中，大多数学生无法对枯燥的语言课堂打起十二分精神。《英语课程标准》指出,英语课程的学习是学生通过体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式,发展学生的综合语言运用能力。英语的运用在小学阶段基本是零散的，是语境化的，是和具体话题结合的。语言的交际与习得离不开情景创设，枯燥僵化的课堂已成了现下不合时宜的教学模式。教师结合课堂实践，让学生参与活动体验过程，亮出了一道新的语言教学风景线。因为DIY教学迎合了学生的思维特点,因此它在探究、体验式教学中具有很强的生命力。
三、研究意义
活动化静为动，变革学习方式
如何才能在教学中既突出语言的交际功能，又能使语法知识内化成正确应用语言的能力,是教学成功的关键。而DIY活动为学生的操作、探索、合作提供了丰富的材料，语言知识学习的方式将告别单一枯燥的题海训练和题目解析，变成学生主动参与的，主体张扬、发展、提升的过程。
活动化难为易，突破学习障碍
在小学英语教学中，常有教学内容与学生认知水平相冲突，产生学习障碍。让学生亲手准备资料，亲身参加活动，DIY活动就是促进学生认知发展的好方法。
活动一举多得，彰显非智力因素
“儿童是靠形象进行思维的”，儿童的世界是一个想象力极其丰富的世界，给孩子动手创造机会，将使儿童的好奇心得到发挥、保持和发展。孩子们亲自制作的教具，会让课堂变得生动有趣，提高他们学习语言的兴趣。在动手制作的过程中也培养了他们的操作能力和合作精神、创造能力，同时潜移默化的培养了孩子们的审美意识。
四、DIY活动在英语教学中的具体实践
（一）课前准备DIY有效促进学生主动预习
如果预习任务是一味地朗读、听音跟读，学生会对预习感到厌烦，缺乏了预习的兴趣，预习的效果就可想而知了。同时小学生本身所掌握的英语知识有限，不能布置难度很大的预习作业，以防挫伤他们预习的积极性。让学生乐于去预习，我尝试让学生参与一些动手活动。比如在学习新单词时，可以设计这样的预习作业：1自己通过查字典或向别人询问学习课文中的新词。2由这个单词，你还能想到哪些和它同类的单词？将自己的预习成果展示在“MyBook”(下文将作阐述)上，下一节课小组交流，又能巩固不少以前的单词。在第八册第二模块中，重点学习了形容词，由difficult又联想起以前学的形容词，交流的时候学生说了几十个单词，不仅明白了语法知识，还温故知新。这样学生会饶有兴趣地去完成，同时这也是一种学习策略的培养。教师也应在课上及时地表扬这些预习充分地学生，让他们尝到成功的喜悦，满足学生的成就感，教学任务就能轻松完成。
一般情况下，老师都会在课前准备一些图片或实物，笔者以为将这些材料准备留给学生将会激发学生更强的求知欲。教材中诸如动物、交通工具、职业、玩具、城市建筑类单词等等，我课前都要求学生收集相关图片或实物，在上课的时候尽量使用学生的资料。孩子们都希望在课堂上展示自己的资料，被选用的学生往往在上课时格外认真，课堂氛围也非常好。例如在上服装一课时，让他们当小小服装设计师，孩子们都很兴奋，每个孩子都积极地参与设计，各式各样的服装彰显了孩子们的创造性。课堂上我一边展示他们的作品一边教单词，为了能用英语介绍自己的作品同孩子们都很积极，很快记住了自己所设计的衣服名称。在句型练习中，许多孩子都深刻地理解到“’sverynice.”相信这样的DIY活动既可以让教师更轻松，也会让师生的感情沟通更和谐。
（二）课堂实践DIY有助学生英语口语表达
现行的教材中有很多可以让学生直接DIY的课程，比如制作做匹萨、降落伞、模型房子、蛋糕、圆饼、酸奶、饺子、风筝、热饮、冷饮等等。以六年级教材《HowdoImakeit》一课中制作Pizza为例，谈谈课堂DIY的具体实践
